  • 10 g Matcha Powder
  • 100 ml Hot Water
  • 12 Ladyfingers
  • Matcha Powder (for decoration)

1) Gathering the Ingredients

Gather the ingredients together.

2) Making the Matcha Espresso

In a mixing bowl, combine the hot water and matcha powder. Stir well until the matcha is completely dissolved. Then, set aside to cool.

3) Whipping the Heavy Cream

In another mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream and granulated sugar together until soft peaks form.

4) Adding the Mascarpone Cheese to the Whipped Cream

Add the mascarpone cheese to the whipped cream mixture. Gently fold until well combined and smooth.

5) Dipping Ladyfingers Into The Matcha Espresso

Once the matcha mixture has cooled down, briefly dip each ladyfinger biscuit into the matcha liquid, ensuring they are soaked but not overly soggy.

Tip: If the matcha liquid is too hot, the biscuit can become soggy easily, and if it is too cold, it won’t soak properly. Room temperature is perfect.

6) Making the Tiramisu Layers

Arrange a layer of matcha soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of a serving dish or individual cups.

Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the layer of ladyfingers.

Repeat the process with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining matcha mascarpone mixture.

7) Chilling the Matcha Tiramisu in the Refrigerator

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld together and for the matcha tiramisu to set.

8) Sprinkling More Matcha Over the Matcha Tiramisu & Enjoying

Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with additional matcha powder for decoration.
Optionally, serve with strawberries for a pop of color and freshness.
