2. Your Account

All orders are subject to Japanese Taste’s review and approval. The receipt of an e-mail order confirmation does not constitute acceptance of an order or a confirmation or an offer to sell. In the unlikely event that we’re unable to fulfill your order (e.g. because the product is out of stock or discontinued, we haven’t been able to verify the billing information you’ve provided, or you have requested delivery to a country that we do not currently ship to, or there has been an error in the pricing or description of the product), we’ll let you know by email and we won’t charge you for the product. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, we will issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge.

6.1. Delays outside our control

We are not responsible for delays outside our control such as customs clearance procedures, postal/courier delays, shipping address changes, general strikes, geopolitical events or bad weather.

6.2. Duties and taxes

Unless expressly stated at checkout, product prices and shipping charges do not include import duties, VAT, GST, customs duties, brokerage fees, handling fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country, customs authorities, or carriers. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient.

If you refuse delivery, fail to pay import duties, taxes, customs fees, or other required charges, or fail to provide information required for customs clearance, your package may be delayed, returned to us, abandoned, or disposed of by the carrier or customs authority. Orders refused or not accepted due to unpaid import charges are not eligible for refund.

Please note that returns initiated due to unexpected duties, taxes, or refusal to pay local import fees are not refundable.
