This two-tiered bento box from Isuke is perfect for taking your lunch to work or school.
This rounded, oval-shaped bento box is in the traditional form of having a lid that slides over top of the bottom compartment, but has the added modern touch of an interior tupperware lid so that you don't need to worry about spills or leaks. The two tiers are great for keeping wet and dry food separate, or keeping your rice apart from your main dish.
This bento lunch box is lacquered in the byakudan-nuri (sandalwood) style, which uses lacquer over foil to create distinct patterns. Byakudan-nuri is typically a deep red and black color, and has an almost glittering appearance. It's one of the most famous traditional styles of lacquerware from Japan.
Isuke has been dealing with lacquer and lacquerware in Kyoto for nearly 200 years, their traditional and contemporary Japanese designs are enhanced by the quality materials they use, which results in outstandingly high-quality and luxurious products.
