Takemoto is the parent company of Maruhon, one of Japan’s oldest sesame oil manufacturers. They’ve developed a range of high-quality untoasted sesame oils for baking and confectionary, as a healthy substitute for butter or other fats.
Since Maruhon sesame oil is made for frying and seasoning, they’ve released their baking and confectionary oil under the Takemoto banner instead.
All Takemoto and Maruhon sesame oils are derived from residual pesticide-free, ethically sources sesame seeds. Their oil production process has remained unchanged for 300 years. They manually press the oil out of the sesame seeds, rather than using chemicals and solvents, for a natural, clean and fresh sesame oil.
