Suehiro have taken a naturally-brewed koikuchi Japanese dark soy sauce and blended it with four different citrus fruits, each with their own unique characteristics. Yuzu, which has an intense aroma, and light bitterness. Sudachi, which brings sourness to the mix, and a light flavor reminiscent of lime. Citrus limetta Daidai which adds depth and sweetness. And Yuko, which mellows everything out.
In addition to the citrus juices, this ponzu has been seasoned with mirin, konbu kelp stock, and sugar. Suehiro has been brewing shoyu soy sauce in Tatsuno, Hyogo for over 130 years. They place an emphasis on using high-quality, natural ingredients in all of their products.
Use this ponzu to season shabu-shabu hot pots, or pour directly over salads or grilled fish as a dressing sauce.
