You do not need specific knowledge about kimchee making or any unnecessary kitchen equipment to make this kimchee as long as you have this easy-to-make kimchee kit. Create your own homemade kimchee and serve it with yakiniku BBQ to enjoy it to the fullest.

In a resealable container bag, this kit contains two packets of kimchee powder, a packet of powdered red chili pepper, four sheets of nylon, and a how-to-use guidebook. A single unit of this kit allows you to make up to approximately 1,200g of kimchee.

The powders include vegetables, seafood, and red chili pepper from South Korea to recreate the authentic taste of kimchee without the use of preservatives or chemical seasonings.

Besides kimchee, you can add these powders to hot-pot and easily create a spicy hot-pot, which is perfect for winter.

To make the homemade kimchee, cut vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Typical vegetables used for this dish include napa cabbage, radish, carrot, cucumber, bean sprouts, scallion, etc.

Put cut vegetables and kimchee powder into the nylon bag. 20g of this powder is sufficient for making 200g of napa cabbage kimchee. Adjust the spiciness to your liking by adding the desired amount of powdered red chili pepper (a packet with dark-red powder).

Squeeze out excess air inside the bag while thoroughly massaging the vegetables inside, making sure to evenly spread the kimchee seasonings. When the powder has adequately coated all of the ingredients, put the nylon bag into the container bag to prevent the strong smell from leaking out, and then store it in the refrigerator. Make sure to tightly close the zipper.

Although the kimchee is ready to eat right after its made, you can further enrich its flavor according to the storage time: pickling for 1~2 hours allows you to create a light-flavored kimchee, 12 hours for medium-bodied kimchee, 24 hours for full-bodied kimchee, and 48 hours for extra-rich flavored kimchee.
