This additive-free mirin is made only using natural ingredients. Concretely, Japanese glutinous rice, Japanese malted rice, and rice spirit all made and processed by the manufacturer. The ingredients are carefully selected and fermented for 3 months and then aged during 3 years.
Through its long preparation and brewing process, this Japanese rice seasoning has a deep sweetness with a clear aftertaste. Being sweet, it balances saltiness and acidity in dishes. Its beautiful amber color and complex flavor will enhance the flavor of your foods.
Versatile seasoning that works wonderful in stir fries, stocks, broths, soups, stews, braises, and of course sauces and glazes. Adding this mirin to any kind of Japanese dish such in a soup base for noodles, nimono (simmered dish), and sunomono (Japanese vinegared dish) will enhance the taste and umami.

The search for a good Mirin is what brought me to this website. Most Mirin i have found is made with HFCS and just tastes like sweet garbage. This product however has a sweet, slightly soy saucey, flavor that I find very delicious. I have never tasted anything like it. It is exactly what I was hoping to discover. A simple mix of this with soy sauce and sake makes a delicious sauce. It is however pricey. I wish I could afford to keep it stocked in my pantry. I will savor every drop of it while it lasts.
