Efficient tool and the size makes it easy.

Does the job in seconds, flawlessly! This tool is worth it if you make lots of miso soup. It will also be handy if one is incorporating other thick pastes or sauces (or even nut butters) into soup or stews. I’ve tried it with a small whisk as well as a large spoon and both worked well. (The whisk is perhaps more efficient, but the size of the basket means even a basic spoon will get you through the task if you haven’t another way.)

The only downside for me is the hook position - if meant to be used on the lip of a pot - is too high for the pots I use, and the basket would sit above the soup, so I do not use it.

However, the job is so fast that honestly, this hardly matters.
